1. Purpose of GSS:

• The Global Scholars Society (GSS) aims to provide talented and ambitious high school and college students with academically inquisitive minds the opportunity to develop their passions for specific subjects through meaningful and engaging activities.

2. Scholarship Program Application Process:

• All applicants to the GSS Scholarship Program are required to pay a uniform application reading fee. Upon payment, an order number will be sent to your email. This order number must be copied and pasted into your completed application form to become a GSS scholar.

• Refunds for the application reading fee will be issued only in the event that an application is not processed due to form incompletion or application withdrawal within 24 hours of submission. GSS reserves the right to determine eligibility for refunds.

3. Application Review and Acceptance:

• All materials and information submitted on the application form are considered holistically to review an applicant.

• The society's membership capacity is considered across each academic discipline of the organization, and there is no set criteria or scoring system for the review process.

4. Accuracy of Information:

• Every effort is made to ensure that all information on the GSS website is accurate and up-to-date.

5. Services and Refunds:

• Refunds will be issued only if a request to withdraw from a competition entry or cancel a service purchase is sent to our email or communicated via our website contact form within 24 hours of the initial purchase. Full refunds will be issued only in these rare circumstances.

6. Competitions:

• GSS competitions are designed to provide a fair and equitable platform for all participants. External help, which refers to assistance with your entry gained from individuals who are not registered entrants of the competition, is strictly prohibited. Plagiarism is considered to be the unauthorized or unreferenced use of anyone else's intellectual property who isn't the competition entrant in question and/or their team if this is a team competition. These measures ensure the integrity of the competition and a level playing field for all participants.

• Judges for GSS competitions are selected for their expertise and impartiality. Their decisions are final and cannot be appealed. It is important to note that judges have diligently assessed each entry, ensuring fairness and unbiased evaluation throughout the competition.

• Participants are encouraged to embrace the learning experience that competitions offer and appreciate the opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage. GSS values the effort and dedication of each participant and extends its gratitude to the judges for their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the competition.

• GSS reserves the right to make adjustments to the deadlines and dates of its competitions at any stage during the competition's progress. These adjustments may be made in the interest of, or due to, unforeseen extenuating circumstances. GSS is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent competition environment.

• In the event that GSS needs to modify a competition's deadlines or dates, participants will be informed as promptly as possible. GSS will make every effort to provide participants with a minimum notice period of two weeks. This notification will be communicated through the official channels and contact information provided by participants.

• It is important to note that adjustments to deadlines and dates will not affect our refund policy. GSS remains dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for all participants and will work diligently to minimize any inconvenience caused by such modifications.

• By participating in GSS competitions, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by any adjustments made to deadlines and dates, understanding that GSS will act in their best interest and in line with its commitment to fairness and excellence.

7. Admission Refusal:

• Applicants exhibiting exceptionally subpar academic standards, lack of effort, or genuine motivation within their application may be refused admission.

• Additionally, admission may be refused in exceptional circumstances due to vulgar or obscene behavior from the applicant that GSS becomes aware of.

8. User-Generated Content:

• Users are expected to adhere to guidelines for appropriate conduct when interacting with user-generated content and comments on the website. Content deemed inappropriate may be removed by GSS.

9. Content Suitability:

• The content provided on the GSS website is for informational purposes only and is not intended to replace professional advice. Users are encouraged to seek advice from qualified professionals for specific needs.

14. Termination of Membership or Services:

17. College Admissions Outcomes:

• GSS is committed to assisting scholars with their academic endeavors through our services and operations. However, GSS holds no responsibility for the outcome of your college applications, admissions, or pursuits. College admissions decisions are beyond the control of GSS.

18. Mentoring and Consulting Services:

• Global Scholars Society (GSS) offers mentoring, tutoring, and consulting services to support students in their academic and professional pursuits. While GSS mentors strive to provide insightful guidance and advice, it is important to note that any suggestions, recommendations, or edited materials, including essay and application editing services, are offered solely as potential avenues for improvement and inspiration.

• Global Scholars Society (GSS) offers an essay review service designed to provide constructive feedback and guidance on your essays. When purchasing an essay review package, please note that each new draft and subsequent re-draft submitted for review will be deducted from the word count credit associated with the package you have purchased.

• For example, if you have purchased a package that allows for the review of 1,000 words and you submit an initial draft of 500 words, you will have a remaining word count credit of 500 words for future drafts. Subsequent drafts or revisions will be counted against this credit until it is fully utilized.

• It is important to manage your word count credit judiciously to ensure you maximize the value of your chosen essay review package. If you exceed the word count credit, you may choose to purchase additional word count as needed, subject to GSS terms and pricing.

• GSS mentors are committed to assisting students in developing their skills and knowledge. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the student (customer) to make informed decisions regarding the application and implementation of any guidance provided. GSS does not guarantee specific outcomes or results from utilizing these services.

• GSS mentors, while providing our listed mentorship and consulting services, reserve the right to disclose personal information at their own discretion. GSS mentors are not obligated to share any personally identifiable information, including but not limited to mobile phone numbers, mailing addresses, hometowns, high-school or college details. In most cases, GSS will provide customers with an individual contact email for receiving feedback and guidance, from their allocated mentor. Video calls and face-to-face contact, if applicable, may occur, but solely at the discretion of each individual mentor.

• Students are encouraged to exercise their discretion and judgment when considering and incorporating any suggestions or advice from GSS mentors. The decision to use or modify any content, including essays, applications, or other materials, rests with the individual student. GSS shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from the student's choice to use or not use the guidance provided by our mentors.

• We take great care in matching each job with the most appropriate mentor, leveraging their expertise and experience to provide valuable insights and guidance. While our history of successful matches is notable, it's important to note that due to the diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise among our mentors, we cannot guarantee that every mentor will be an alumnus of the target institution or a student/graduate of the client's chosen subject.

• Our mentor selection process is thorough and considers your specific needs and goals. We prioritize providing a comprehensive and insightful review that contributes positively to your academic pursuits. We maintain confidence in our ability to offer a quality review service that supports your aspirations and aids your progress.

• If you have specific preferences or concerns regarding mentor selection, please feel free to communicate them with us. Your satisfaction is paramount, and we are dedicated to working closely with you to meet your expectations.

19. GSS Scholars' Personalized Strategy Session and Email Support Terms:

• The free personalized strategy session provided to GSS Scholars is subject to mutual availability between both the mentors and the scholar. Scholars can view available slots via the provided Calendly link or by contacting info@globalscholarssociety.org. While GSS will make every effort to accommodate scheduling requests, we cannot guarantee that every scholar will receive a session if no suitable dates are available.

• Regarding the 24/7 free email support, GSS is committed to addressing rudimentary inquiries from scholars. However, the depth of responses and advice provided will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the inquiry. Please note that requests for free advice that infringe on services typically reserved for paid mentorship or consulting will not be entertained, in order to maintain fairness across the organization for all clients.

20. Intellectual Property:

• All intellectual property rights in the GSS website and content are owned by or licensed to GSS, unless otherwise stated.

21. Severability:

• If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining parts shall still be effective.

22. Amendments and Notices:

• GSS may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of changes through our website. Your continued use of the website and services after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the amended terms.
